I have been experimenting with High Dynamic Range Images. A HDR image is a series of phohographs of a subject taken with bracketed shutter speeds. The photographs are combined with software designed for this application and the end result is that details are present in the shadows and/or highlights that would not be shown in a single normal exposure. This technique lends itself well to the alleys along factors walk since they vary from bright sunlight above to deep shadows below. I also have used this technique in the photos showing the restoration shop at the Savannah Roundhouse.
